Books!!
a word that never fails to enlighten my face and make my heart skip a beat..! really, it sounds like love and to me , it is!!
so this time its about another one of them , the book is called "The Palace of Illusions" by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni".
i loved the book. in the sense that, it just stayed in my mind for days..! i even re-read the last few pages over and over again. . .
i am very interested in mythology... indian mythology specifically. and this book is this beautiful story ... the most fascinating epic "Mahabharat " from paanchaali's view..
amazing narration. beautiful moments. every mention of "Krishn" so subtle yet so impressive. i adore "Krishn" for His mysterious ways.. and this book jus made Him more appealing to me..and also a little jealous!! oh!, wat wud i do to have Him as a friend , a companion, to share the beautiful khatta-meetha sweet sour relation with Him... yet, i m thrilled to hv read that and imagined "me " instead of paanchaali in conversation with Him and i m happy. !
also, i've seen/heard/spoken abt parts of the mahabharat time and again but i never thot of paanchali's life in any context. so, with this book i actually gave it some time and thot ...
what she was meant to be and wat she was. her ways, her behavior, her relations and emotions...thot provoking.. ! indeed. .
amazing flow of events and beautiful organization of thots.. so much creativity and imagination...!
i m sort of a fan of the writing..just not sure yet...!
